MOD Guidelines

We are pleased to see the global community enjoying our games. We also respect that some gamers select to mod our games for a unique gaming experience.

At the same time, from the standpoint of maintaining stability and fairness in our games, as well as to avoid legal risks, Genki do not condone the creation or distribution of mods.

Genki's Policy Regarding Mods/Modding

  • Please keep mods/modding within the scope of personal use. Gamers are within their legal rights to use and/or mod games to the extent that it is personal, and Genki have no intention to interfere with gamers pursuing personal entertainment.

Intellectual Property Rights and Third Party Rights

Please be careful of the following points as you use mods and/or mod our games:

  • Do not infringe on third party rights:
    Unauthorized use of copyrighted materials from other games, films, animations, etc. come with a legal risk. Mods that contain logos using popular characters or designs in it are subject to litigation for copyright infringement and/or trademark infringement.
  • Do not use existing trademarks and/or brands:
    Please avoid making use of logos and/or designs which are owned by other companies. This includes emblems for sports teams and logos of fashion brands.
  • Do not create inappropriate and/or offensive content:
    Please refrain from creating mods that contain discriminatory, violent, or offensive content.
  • Redistribution of our content is prohibited:
    Extracting, modifying, and distributing data from our game (such as textures, audio, and models) is strictly forbidden.
  • Commercial use is prohibited:
    No mod may be sold or monetized for commercial purposes (including soliciting donations).

Legal Risks and Responsibilities

  • Use mods at your own risk:
    Genki do not bear responsibility for any issues, data loss, or game malfunctions that may arise as a result of using mods. If you experience problems with the game, please remove the mod(s) and contact our official support.
  • In case of infringement:
    In case we discover infringement of third party rights, Genki will take necessary action, including but not limited to legal action. Genki reserve the right to suspend or ban accounts linked to the illegal use and distribution of mods.

Genki's top priority is for everyone to enjoy our games, and while we ask that you be cautious with the use of mods, we will strive to provide a more diverse gaming experience through updates and new features that we offer officially.
